newsletter. The critter dinner was yummy as always and Alvin Fuller is now a Life Member. Al
has chaired the Jan and July gun shows for years. Al could always be
counted on to have ideas to help with the various problems that always pop up at the club, from
working with the water problems to helping with the ranges along with volunteering for pretty
much every event or fundraiser that has been held. Congratulations Al
Fuller on Life Member.

Colby Classic Ice Fishing Derby: I need people to contact merchants in town and ask
for donations. I have one person so far that is willing to help, for those
that usually help can you contact me and I will give you your normal merchants? If anyone wants to help, all you do is ask
a few merchants for donations for door prizes to give away for the Colby Classic. For most of the
merchants in town, they say yes and off you go, that easy. I also need people to help set up on Fri
night March 4th for about an hour and to help weigh fish, give out door prizes and sell tickets
and entry forms. For the past 10 years I have been running this derby, I have been able to count
on some of the older gentlemen of the club to help during the derby. These gentlemen are no
longer able to help because of their physical ailments, so I need younger members or newer
members to help with the Classic. You only work in 4 hour shifts and it is lots of fun. Please
contact me to help. Cecilia 518-201-4009. Thank you. A sign up sheet will be going around at
the March Regular Meeting.
Trudeau Big Buck Contest: Winners: Archery: Bradley Merrill 8 pointer 176 lbs. Muzzleloader:
Ralph Bennett Spike Horn, 93 lbs. Regular Season: Eric Merrill 8 point 157
lbs. Big Buck Bradley Merrill. Lucky Buck: Patrick McIntyre. Only 18 people entered this year.
Camperships: Are available and we will sponsor youth 11-13 years old to go to Camp Colby
this year. The youth have to be a child or grandchild of a club member.
For more information about the camp, go to NYSDEC summer camps on the web, or call over to DEC in Ray Brook. If
anyone has a child that wants to go and would like a campership from this club, please contact
me at 518-201-4009.
January Gun Show: We netted $ 1275.00!!! Nice job done by the Committee. Our next gun
