Welcome the following new members: Matthew F. Coullier; Richard Gonyea; Christopher J. Goodman; Robert E. Keith; Patrick Mccormick; Donald Perryman, Jr.; James C. Watt
Renewals: - We have received some feedback that membership renewals have not been received by some people. The reason for most of these, that person did not renew the previous year. Remember, if you don't renew by April, you are dropped from the membership data base. Another reason, people do not update their mailing/email information with Claude. Therefore, the notice comes back to us undeliverable.
Colby Classic Ice Fishing Derby: - WOW! What a fantastic turn out. There were over 250 fishers registered. Lake Colby was busy and surrounding waters provided some very nice pike. One unusual thing, a Trout was brought in that had two fins with previous clips. That fish has been in the lake through three tourneys. Probably went into the frying pan instead of the lake this year! The winners are:
Adult Trout: Cameron Gagnon 1st; Don Vloski 2nd; Nick Concayage 3rd
Adult Perch: Randy Hart 1st; Albert Bruso 2nd; Dave Bishop 3rd
Adult Pike: Sean Wood Sr. 1st; John Skiff 2nd; Kris Patteron 3rd
Youth Perch: Kayden Heading 1st; Adrian Milgrim 2nd; Walter Pelletier 3rd
Youth Pike: Kealan Ryan 1st; Colby Boudreau 2nd; Branden Boudreau 3rd
Three $100.00 sponsored fish were caught. Roger Pratt, Cameron Gagnon and Todd Hagar used their skill to catch the elusive fish.
The raffle winners were Chris Segard, Auger; Craig Dickie Shanty; D. Duckett Sled; and Shaheen's - Clay Sauvie $150.00; Ed Lowndes $100.00; Mike Delair $50.00.
Congratulations to everyone who won prizes. Thank you to all who participated. We are looking forward to next year - our 35th! Look for special events for that tourney.
Archery - Our archery activity will be starting up again March 15. If you want to indoor shoot, learn to shoot, or just have interest in seeing what is going on, come down. When the weather is better, we will shoot outside.
Franklin County Federation of Fish & Game Clubs - Will be meeting at Pack Basket restaurant in Gabriels. Great opportunity to learn how the process of changing regulations and creating laws works.
Pot Luck Dinner - We are back on track. Next one is scheduled for April 6th. Great time to network and meet new friends with similar interest. Bring a dish, we supply the paper products and soft drink. BYB if you want an alternate beverage.
Pistol Shooters Work Day - On February 27 the regular shooters worked on the backstop. It looks great. They did a wonderful job. Thank You.
Feed back has been received on the fee set up for persons who do not participate in club events. The board is reviewing these comments and the overall impact of this fee. Look for more information in future newsletters.
